This Ain’t Rock’n’Roll, Advisory Council

This Ain’t Rock’n’Roll is the groundbreaking studio of Clive Russell and Charlie Waterhouse.

Creators of identities and strategies for cultural movements and causes, their client list includes the Tate, National Gallery, Right to Repair, People vs Big Tech and Medécins Sans Frontières.

Their work has won multiple awards (they turned down a nomination for Design of the Year in 2019) and is in permanent collections at the V&A, British Museum, MOMA, Smithsonian and the National Museum of Korean Democracy (among others). They have delivered keynote speeches at multiple events across Europe and lectures at leading Art Institutes.

Serial collaborators, This Ain’t Rock’n’Roll’s work includes the Brixton Pound and Extinction Rebellion, where they were part of the founding team, conceiving the movement’s distinctive visual identity, name and Do-it-Together ethos. More recently they co-created the cultural collaboration Hard Art (and The Fête of Britain).

They also helped start the Museum of Care and the David Graeber Institute and co-founded marine-based activist group Ocean Rebellion. Their favourite project (of course) is co-creating the Foxglove identity with the team.
